Traditional Western Therapy for CKD
CKD is usually considered as immuno-disease by western doctors. The abnormal
immuno-reactions of the body result in sediment of immune complexes
onglomerulus, which causes damages to glomerulus. By this, inflammatory cells
existed in blood will be induced to infiltrate in these glomerulus and release
inflammatory factors that are harmful to renal inherent cells. The decline of
renal functions subsequently gives rise to such clinical manifestations as
proteinuria (Proteinuria and Kidney Disease), hematuresis, swelling and so on. So, western doctors generally use
immunosuppressant like glucocoticoids and cytotoxicdrugs to fight against
inflammation. These drugs are effective in preventing the formalization of
immunocytes and restricting the functions of mature immunocytes. But for those
immunocytes that do not participate in immuno-response, they will avoid the hunt
of these drugs and become sensitive to the antigens. Thus , when the same
antigen re-emerges, robust inflammatory response of these immunocytes will be
something of certainty. This is why the usage of immunosuppressant can take
effect quickly but fails to prevent the relapse of CKD.
