Report from Taiwan said that among end stage renal disease patients, women on
dialysis are much easier to have sexual dysfunction. 84% of all women and 55% of
sexually active women in the study experienced sexual problems. Women with a
partner were less likely to report sexual dysfunction than those without a
partner. Sexual dysfunction occurred more often in women who were older, were
less educated, had signs of depression, had reached menopause, had diabetes, and
took diuretic therapy (which helps the body get rid of unneeded water and salt).
Nearly all of the women (96%) who were not on a waiting list for a transplant
and who were living without a partner reported sexual dysfunction. We can also
say, sexual dysfunction is more common in ESRD women on hemodialysis. In
addition, with females aging, blood fat and depression increases as well, which
influenced sexual function, as well.
When women patients experience a lack of sexual desire or inability to have
orgasms, causes related to anaemia, under-dialysis and medication can be
investigated. Some of the medication prescribed to renal patients may have the
effect of inhibiting sexual desire.
Some drugs particularly ACE inhibitors will need to stop before pregnancy and
the blood pressure will be checked very carefully. The stress that kidney
failure can bring to a relationship may affect the couple's sex life.
From the above, we can get a general conclusion which influenced sexual
dysfunction. We should take other measures to avoid medications such as ACE
inhibitors, etc so as to improve sexual dysfunction for women. In Shijiazhuang
Kidney Disease Hospital, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy
can help females get rid of dialysis and promote the sexual function
accordingly. They have no side effect, can not only repair the damaged intrinsic
cells but also differentiate into cells to replace the necrotic ones, thus
reviving kidney function. After these, females’ sexual function will be promoted
as well.
