Glomerulus Nephritis is a very common
disease in clinical cases. Most people would take it for granted that there must
be some infections caused by glomerulus lesion. This is our first congnition
virtually, but we should know more about this disease.
Nephrologist in our hospital categorize glomerulus nephritis into Nephritis.
Nephrits belongs to an abnormal allergic disease occurred in bilateral kidneys.
According clinical records, nephritis can be divided into acute type and chronic
type.
For the acute type, the onset of disease is very acute and the course of
disease is rather short. It is prevailing in children with 4-14 years old who
mainly gather in kindergarten and primary school. One obvious point is that male
patients are more than females. Massive cases show that acute nephritis mainly
occurs after streptococcus infection. Most patients with acute nephritis
suffered from pharyngitis, tonsillitis and other proceeding infections, but
there is no a simultaneous association between infectious extent and disease
attack. According to extant data, 40% of patients go to see the doctor due to
hematuria; 90% of cases present Edema, for patients whose illness are not
severe, eyelid edema emerges when they get up in morning, and general edema
appear in those severe patients who even present chest edema, abdominal dropsy,
dyspnea and abdominal distension. Parts of patients suffer from elevated blood
pressure and headache, and their urine test presents proteins loss nearly.
As to chronic type, this is more prevalent among young adults with 20-40
years old. Chronic nephritis has a long disease course and tends to be
progressive-slowly. But the cause of chronic nephritis are still obscure.
Pathological agents for most patients are still associated with bacteria, virus,
medication or allergic reaction caused by other material accumulated in human
body. Clinical symptoms includes proteinuria(Proteinuria and Kidney Disease), hematuria(Hematuria and Kidney Disease), edema, elevated blood
pressure and renal function damage. The natural disease course of chronic
nephritis varies from different CKD patients. That is, some patiens’ illness
condition can develop into end stage only in 2 or 3 years, also quite a number
of patients can keep a normal renal function in dozens of years though they are
diagnosed as chronic nephritis. Certainly, severe glomerulus nephritis can
develop into Uremia. Uremia is large amount of nephrons damaged by various
reasons, it can presents renal dysfunction, metabolic waste and toxin retention
and internal environment disorder which are life-threatening.
