Hemodialysis is a common method to treat Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) especially when patients
condition is in the stage of Uremia, because dialysis can relieve patients’ pain
rapidly. But dialysis also has many drawbacks, complication is one of the most
striking shortcoming. This passage mainly states how to treat hypotension during
dialysis.
During dialysis, the incidence of hemodialysis is very high. Especially
for CKD patients in EDRF, they are more likely to present hypotension. Dialysis
hypotension usually presents some premonitory symptoms such as faint, anxiety,
chest distress, cold sweat, nausea and vomiting heart rate increase. Few Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
patients taking dialysis may have no premonitory symptoms, their blood pressure
can decrease all of a sudden. Therefore, it is quite requisite to monitor the
blood pressure during the dialysis. Once patients present above abnormality,
they need to lie on their back and get proper treatment.
The main causes of dialysis hemodialysis are as below:
1. Insufficient Blood volume
During the dialysis, dehydration usually occurs which can cause blood volume
decline rapidly.
2. Using dialysis liquid with low-sodium for long
The content of sodium in dialysis liquid is lower than that of plasma so that
more blood sodium leave plasma and plasma osmosis pressure get decreased. Excess
body fluid accessinto cells, resulting blood volume decline.
3. Put on weight all of a sudden during the dialysis
4. unstable blood vessel function:
Endotoxin, Pericarditis infection bleeding, can cause hypotension
5. Autonomic nerve obstruction
Therefore, it is quite requisite to monitor the blood pressure during the
dialysis. Once patients present above abnormality, they need to lie on their
back and get proper treatment.
