There are many conditions and diseases which could lead to Chronic Kidney
Disease(CKD), among which, hypertension is one of the important reasons. Now we
will look at how high blood pressure leads to CKD.
Of all the patients who have CKD, about 40 percent have Diabetes and nearly
30 percent have high blood pressure. The remaining patients have CKD by other
diseases. Here I focus on the CKD caused by high blood pressure.
The long-term state of high blood pressure could lead to the “three high”
states: high perfusion, high pressure, and high filtration. All of these three
conditions could greatly your damages.
Over the long time, the uncontrolled high blood pressure could damage your
blood vessels and those nephrons in your kidneys. So, these nephrons cannot do
their job of filtering the wastes and excess fluids out of your blood. On the
other hand, these excess fluid and wastes held in the blood can pose extra
pressure to the blood vessels’ walls, which makes your blood pressure elevated
more.
According to some reports, blood pressure for patients with proteinuria
should control their pressures to 130/85 or 125/75, which could help these
patients preserve their kidney functions and protect their kidneys from further
damage.
Another point that I want to mention is that high blood pressure could
increase the workload of the heart, and it can affect the heart’s pumping
ability and possibly lead to heart failure. Besides that, hypertension increases
the risks of suffering the diseases of coronary artery disease, aneurysms,
stroke and eye problems.
In another furthermore aspect, high blood pressure could damage the renal
intrinsic cells and the arteriosclerosis, induce by the damage of blood vessels,
could harm the renal parenchyma, which could arouse the persistent decline of
renal function, and even progress to end stage renal failure(ESRD).
Now I think you may have a general understanding on the damages of high blood
pressure as well as how it leads to CKD. Early prevention and effective
treatment, such as Immunotherapy used in Shijiazhuang Kidney Diseas hospital, is the key.
