In China, the morbidity of Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) is about 9.3%, 1% of
which will develop into uremia. The statistics shows that there about 60,000
kidney failure patients and each patient will spend about 100,000 RMB each year,
which is a great economic loss for individual and our country.
Besides, Chronic Kidney Disease is extremely harmful to human health. In the
concept of traditional Chinese medicine, kidney is the key organ among the five
organs ( heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys) and is the important organ to
sustain life. Kidney is just like a sewage purification plant which is
responsible for the filtration, cleaning harmful substances, preserving protein,
water and salt to balance the water in humane body.
Once kidneys go haywire, they can not remove the harmful substances and the
needless water. In addition, kidney would fail to keep the nutritional
substances and to keep the acid-base balance, which result in the symptoms such
as edema(Swelling and Kidney Disease), hematuresis(Hematuria and Kidney Disease), intoxication. The disease can develop from nephritis,
kidney failure to uremia, with the worse one imperiling life. To make the matter
worse, Chronic Kidney Disease is difficult to be rooted out, for it tends to
relapse. And improper medication or abuse medication can do harm to kidneys,
aggravating patients’ condition. So in medical field, kidney disease is called
“the chronic cancer endangering humane life or heinous poisoner”
Is Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3 treated? Nephropathy experts said it can be treated
even if the disease develops into the most severe uremia.
Though Chronic Kidney Disease endangers human life, it does not mean that we
can do nothing about it and let it on a rampage. Moreover, not all Chronic
Kidney Disease will develop into uremia. In treatment, patients should be
optimistic and confident. They must insist that Chronic Kidney Disease can be
treated effectively as long as take proper and active treatment.
