Patients with Kidney Problems are Prone to Infection

Patients with kidney problems are prone to infection because of their low-immunity and related conditions like diabetes, inadequate calorie and protein intake due to poor appetite. Their vulnerability to infections calls for more attention for fully understanding how infections lead to damages to the kidneys. From the perspective of Chinese medical, one disease is closely related to dysfunctions of other organs. And it is true that patients with renal problems usually suffer from other complications like hypertension, hyperglycemia or anemia. When infections occur, more blood flow to the infection site will transport more white cells to fight against the invading gems. However, excessive secretion of renin together with more deposition of wastes and other harmful substances make a smooth blood circulation impossible. And this is why it is difficult for patients with renal problems to get recovered quickly once the get infection.
When the body is invaded by bacteria and virus, there will be more antibodies in the blood in order to fight against these invaders. These antibodies will combine with bacteria and virus (antigens) in order to limit their damages to the body. The combination of antibodies and antigens are called immune complex. These immune complexes are usually excreted out of the body through urination. However, when the amount of immune complex excesses the ability of glomerulus, more and more immune complexes will deposit on glomerular blood capillary walls. In addition, some inflammatory cells will filtrate into the kidneys, and renal cells protect themselves through releasing inflammatory mediators. as these renal cells are busying fighting against the invading germs, there ability of supporting life function will reduce. To make matters worse, inflammatory responses of renal cells will lead to further damages to the kidneys.

Though patients with renal problems are prone to infections, it is not that every infection will lead to filtration into the kidneys of inflammatory cells. but patients whether he or she has problems or not should pay more attention to infection in urinary syImmunotherapy, and this is because that infections in urinary syImmunotherapy have a high possibility of affecting the kidneys.
