For people who are suffering from some typical symptoms of Chronic Kidney
Disease, if they want to know in which stage of Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) they are really, they need
to take the following medical tests at least to diagnose their disease: blood
routine test, urine routine test, renal function examination, renal ECT. For the
former three tests, most patients are familiar, but the last one—renal ECT
haven’t been know clearly. Therefore, this article will offer a brief
introduction about the roles of renal ECT.
1. Renal Function Examination: the advantage of renal ECT is that it is not
necessary to make intubation tube in ureters for the purpose of exam the renal
functions. Glomerular Nephritis, Nephrotic Syndrome, and primary Hypertension
and so on often cause the damage of double kidneys, therefore, the renal image
shows the damage of renal functions of double kidneys. Renal ECT can help the
diagnosis of the above diseases, make sure the degree of renal damage and the
stage of Chronic Kidney Disease.
2. The Diagnosis of Obstruction of Upper Urinary Tract: the precision rate of
the diagnosis of obstruction of upper urinary tract is over 80%-90%.
3. The Diagnosis of Vascular Hypertension of Unilateral Kidney: Hypertension
caused by kidneys can be divided into Vascular Hypertension and Hypertension
caused by Chronic Kidney Disease(High Blood Pressure and Kidney Disease). If there is insufficiency of blood perfusion
in unilateral kidney, and the renal image is much smaller than the other one’s,
it is possible of Vascular Hypertension。
4.Detection of Kidney Transplant: the main complications after kidney
transplant are Acute Tubule Necrosis and Rejection Responding. Because that
renal ECT can show all the conditions of foregoing parts of kidneys, kidneys,
and post parts of kidneys with no physical damage. Renal ECT has been considered
into the necessary test for kidney transplant. The first test is within 24hs
after kidney transplant. If the test result is normal, that means the success of
kidney transplant. If the test results shows that there is no blood perfusion
and there is abnormal renal functions within few hours after kidney transplant,
the transplanted kidney must be removed out of body. The second test is taken
within 5 to 6 days in order to find the acute rejection reaction. As a result,
patients can find the complications timely and get the proper treatment.
