Which Tests Can Help You Diagnose Chronic Kidney Disease

By doing tests, patients can know what disease they get, but for some patients, they do not know what tests are necessary for them. For patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, several tests are essential, which conclude Routine Urine Test, Blood Biochemical Test and Renal Function Test.
● Urine Routine Test
In Urine Routine Test, urine protein and occult blood are the most important indicators for patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. The normal range of protein in urine usually is manifested as-, or - +. If in the test, urine protein follows by -, or - +, that is to say there are no much protein in your urine. Plus sign means your urine is cloudy. Minus sign means your urine is limpid. The more plus signs behind this indicator, the much protein in your urine, and then the more serious your disease is. Similar with urine protein(Proteinuria and Kidney Disease), a plus sign means that you have no hematuria symptom and the more plus signs, the more serious of your hematuria symptom. Apart from these two, there are some other indicators:
urine leucocyte (≤5), glucose ( blue fluid), PH value ( 5.5~7.5), urinary color ( faint yellow), urinary transparency (transparent), specific gravity (1.01~1.03)
● Blood Biochemical Test
For patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, the volume of sodium and phosphorus in their blood are usually higher than that for healthy people. Both sodium and calcium in their blood are less than people who have no Chronic Kidney Disease. The followings are the normal range of these several different trace elements.
Sodium (133mmol/L ~143mmol/L), potassium (3.3mmol/L ~5mmol/L), phosphorus (0.97mmol/L ~1.6mmol/L), calcium (2.25mmol/L ~2.75mmol/L)
● Renal Function Test
In Renal Isufficiency Test, Creatinine (male: 44.2~133ummol/L, female:70.7~106.1umol/L) and Urea nitrogen (1.79~7.41mmol/L) are the most important indicators. For patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, their creatinine(High Creatinine Levels)  and urea nitrogen are usually higher than that for healthy people. Therefore, if your creatinine and urea nitrogen increase, that is to say your renal function is damaged.

Due to the different standards in different countries or hospitals, the reference value sometimes is not different. However, as long as the values appearing in the tests reports is not in the normal range, there are something wrong with your kidneys and you should receive treatment quickly.
