Proteinuria is one of the typical and sometimes the earliest clinic
manifestations of Chronic Kidney Disease. The formation of proteinuria is
closely related to renal function. On the basis of pathogenesis and the original
locals of disease, proteinuria can be separated into several types.
Type Ⅰ: Glomerular Proteinuria
Glomerular Proteinuria arises from the increased permeability of glomerular
membrane to plasma albumin. It is the most common type in clinic. Glomerular
proteinuria usually appears among patients with primary and secondary
glomerulonephritis. Renal ischemia, poisoning and damage of immunopathogenesis
all can damage the integrity of filtration membrane and then causing the leakage
of protein. Moreover, weakened charge barrier of filtration membrane can also
lead to proteinuria. The dominant characteristic of glomerular proteinuria is
the existence of large amount of protein in urine.
Type Ⅱ: Tubular proteinuria. Treatment for Kidney Disease Patients With Weight Gain and Proteinuria
Tubular proteinuria results from the malabsorption of kidney tubules to
protein leaked through glomeruli. Tubular proteinuria usually appears in
tubulointerstitial lesion, pyelonephritis, congenital renal tubular disease, and
hypokalemic nephropathy and so on. The kind of proteinuria is characterized by
less of total urine protein which usually less than one gram per day. Moreover,
there exists a little albumin in the urine and most of them are substances with
low molecular weight such as lysozyme, β2- microglobulin, light chain protein,
and vitamin A binding protein and so on.Treatment for FSGS with Proteinuria and Creatinine 1.6
Type Ⅲ :Overflow proteinuria. Diet for Reducing Proteinuria in Nephrotic Syndrome and Fruits for FSGS Patients With Severe Proteinuria
When low molecular weight protein which is usually less than six to seven
dalton in the blood increases and after being filtered out through glomeruli,
they can not be absorbed by kidney tubules, these low molecular weight protein
will overflow from kidney tubules and then get into urine. This kind of
proteinuria often appears in multiple myeloma, myeloma, myoglobinuria with
severe crush injury and lysozyme with monocytic leukemia.Proteinuria and Kidney Disease
Type Ⅳ: Secretary and histuria proteinuria
When protein contained or excreted by kidneys and urinary tract are mixed
with urine, secretary and histuria proteinuria appears. For example, when
Tamm-Horsfall protein gets into urine and then flow out of our body with urine,
we can say secretary and histuria proteinuria appears.
